This is a portfolio blogsite managed and maintained by Mr. Roselou M. Delima. He is a senior high school teacher handling ICT-related subjects: Computer Systems Servicing, Empowerment Technologies, Media and Information Literacy at Mambaling National High School since July 2019. He loves technology and likes to innovate and make things easier, comfortable, and efficient.
Roselou or Ross Soo as he likes to be called has a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of San Jose-Recoletos. He took up units in professional education in the same university. While studying to become a teacher, he enrolled in a technical training in Automotive Servicing - Diesel Engine Tune-Up Leading to NCI at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Regional Training Center (RTC) - Region VII. He was inspired by his trainer as he was amazed on how refreshing the delivery of the lesson was. It was based on adult learning theory and follows the 10 principles of competency based training (CBT). His training at TESDA fuels his passion to become a fully-fledged licensed teacher and become a TESDA trainer.
Diploma in Education program at USJ-R can be taken on weekends, so he maximized his time by enrolling in Computer Systems Servicing NCII at TESDA RTC-VII where he goes on weekdays for training. He passed the national assessment and received his National Certificate Level II thereafter.
He had taken various jobs to gain wisdom and experience. When he was connected with ECC Philippines, a Japanese-owned ESL company, he was able to pursue an important course leading to his goal in becoming a TESDA trainer. He was a company scholar studying Trainers Methodology at the University of Cebu. He passed the assessment and on his way to achieve his goal.
After passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) with major in Mathematics, he applied at Cebu Technical Vocational Training and Assessment Academy, Inc.(VOCTECH) as a SHS/ICT coordinator where he was designated as the School Principal after leading the school in its successful application at DepEd for the Senior High School program. The training center allowed him to apply as a TESDA Accredited Trainer and Assessor for his active contribution in the school. He developed its senior high school pilot curriculum for the Technical-Vocational and Livelihood track with specialization in Computer Systems Servicing NCII, Programming, and Animation. He co-leads the marketing while providing Career Guidance Program to Grade 10 completers. He initiated the hiring of competent licensed teachers and together with the administrators, faculty and staffs welcomed the pioneering students on its first day of school opening. He was overjoyed as he reached his goal.
Now connected with Mambaling National High School, he continuously improve his craft by enrolling in a Master's Degree major in Administration and Supervision at Cebu Technological University.
During the pandemic, he equipped himself with necessary skills for the new normal in education. He passed the Google Certified Educator Level I and Level II and was recognized as a Google Certified Trainer and Innovator after a thorough selection of the candidates.
This portfolio blogsite is a testament of his passion in education and technology as he compile his works, outputs, projects, commentaries and others to keep track of his progress and share his ideas and best practices to those who might need it.
